Community activities
By donating time, resources and financial assistance to support initiatives and partnerships that matter to our local communities, we are able to make a positive difference.
During our 07/08 financial year:
£36,000 was donated to our Group Charity of the Year, Rays of Sunshine, through company contributions and employee fundraising.
Over £8,000 was given as donations and sponsorships, including support for employees with their individual fundraising activities, sponsorship of Hull Children's University and other ad hoc events.
65 donations of either telephones or family tickets to The Deep were issued for use as raffle prizes to help schools and charitable groups to raise money.
£5,000 was donated to Hull City Football in the Community to decorate its classroom and provide free educational courses to schools.
50 hours of volunteering was undertaken with employees presenting to community groups, schools and university students.
